After waiting nearly an hour for the video to upload, it somehow didn't work. So now let me try a picture instead. It's a picture of me and my extended Kazakh family at New Year's. I'm the one in the middle, in case you couldn't tell us apart (many can't).

It makes me glad to know that the people in your life in Kazakhstan also like to dress you up oddly. I can only assume dressing like a Christmas tree was their idea. Speaking of Christmas, I sent your Christmas card to your old Kazakhstan address, so I have a funny feeling you won't get it now. You would have liked it. It was an old timey picture of a family on Christmas with a little boy dressed as a cowboy pointing a gun at his family and the caption reads, "for the last time, where's my freakin' pony?!?!"
ReplyDeleteHow long does it generally take mail to arrive?
We're throwing a get together in your honor here in Tucson. You can attend in absentia. We're trying to think of Chris-esque things to do. We might request 2 booths at Applebees and leave one empty or carry food in our pockets or maybe even bowl left handed. Maybe I'll speak only in Kazakh. Because I don't know anything in Kazakh, I'll just mutter nonsensical syllables.
